CLAE, a brand born in 2001 in Los Angeles, was founded by the footwear and fashion industry veteran, Sung Choi. The company emerged from the need to introduce a new approach to footwear: modernizing classic, casual shoes and combining them with the comfort of athletic footwear. CLAE shares an authentic passion for shoes, offering long-lasting products with a thoughtful consideration to minimize environmental impact.

CLAE chooses premium leathers from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries, constantly innovating to find sustainable, vegan alternatives to traditional leather.

All of the brand’s vegan materials are organic, such as GOTS-certified organic cotton or made from 70% recycled fibers certified by GRS. CLAE proudly launched the first sneaker made from cactus and continues to use bio-alternatives, launching the first capsule made from apple.
